Zumanity, Cirque du Soleil is a warm and sultry cabaret-styled production complete with a mistress of ceremonies, Mistress of Seduction.
Zumanity leads the audience on a journey to appreciate the more basic aspects of primal instincts enjoyed by humanity: sex, emotions, and sensual beauty. With a cast of about fifty members of various ages, physiques and race this celebration of humanity's naturalness towards sex is born on exotic rhythms and nurtured in an environment completely lacking inhibition. This production brings sex, passion and love out into the open through transexuality, homosexuality, male and female stripping, lovemaking, aesthetically formed bodies, and irregular bodies showing how everyone has an affinity towards sex. Exotic performers use caresses, arousal, eroticism and beauty to stir in the audience the worship of the sensual to musicians playing salsa, tango and flamenco; dancers, singers, contortionists, fire eaters, and acrobats. Zumanity is sometimes surprising, sometimes funny yet concurrently it strums humanity's emotional and physical desires.
