40 km west of Kuusamo, pond Akanlampi 40 m (length 250 m, width 150 m), deep water, sandy bottom shore, pier, boat. Lake Kitkajärvi 1.5 km away; lean-to shelter by shore, rowing boat available. Owner rents out 2.5 hp outboard motor.

Wooden cottage, built in 2009, livingroom/kitchen with sofa bed (suitable for children), bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with double bed (get separate if needed), sauna with electric stove, shower room, utility room, separate toilet, covered porch, electric grill. Play Station 2 video game console, Internet access (WiFi).

Lakeside sauna 20 m away, sauna has steam room with wood stove, room with 2 single beds (use for accommodation only available during 1.4 - 30.9.), porch, electric light and -heating.

Possible rent for use a hot tub (wood heating) at extra price, temperature limit -15ºC. Request and payment straight to the cottage owner (price about 80 € / day) Very quiet location, surrounded by forest, pond nearby. The area has flat terrain and trails that are well suited for jogging and hiking. In winter, there are usually sled tracks in the vicinity of the cottage (to the nearby lean-to) that are suitable for snowshoeing and skiing. There are no maintained skitrails nearby. The nearest ski trails in the center of Posio and Oivanki in Kuusamo.

Extra fee for a pet. If there are more than one pet, ask the owner for permission.
