Dream away in Stoumont ....

On the way to the village of Stoumont lies this luxury Droomvilla with a heated swimming pool, sauna, completely fenced 'backyard' with a mini-waterfall, and plenty of sports and play facilities. You will quickly feel at home here, and children can play to their heart's content in the huge garden and the adjacent forest. With billiards, table tennis, table football, darts, a chess table, outdoor fitness, and outdoor games, you will run out of time. Or will it be relaxing in the sauna, a game of petanque, or birdwatching with binoculars?

Holiday home layout

This Droomvilla is special in many respects: a private swimming pool (heated by a heat pump) with outdoor shower, mini-waterfall, and 6 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms and many cozy seating areas in and around the house. The house is only rented out to families. On the ground floor, there is a living room with a closed fireplace (wood can be ordered at the time of booking for an additional charge) and a long dining table. The living room flows into a conservatory with plenty of natural light from the large windows and a comfortable seating area with a TV and a beautiful view of the garden and forests. You will also find the hunting room here with a seating area, fireplace, and TV/DVD. From the living room, you can access a small terrace.
The separate kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, induction hob (4 burners), oven, microwave, coffee machine (quick filter machine including filters), Senseo (bring your own pods) and Nespresso machine (bring your own pods), kettle, dishwasher, ice maker, and wine cooler. On the first floor, you will find 4 bedrooms for 2 people each with their own bathroom. All bedrooms have TV/DVD. The master bedroom has a king-size bed (2.20 x 2.40m) and a seating area. The bathroom is en-suite with a round bathtub, steam cabin, double sink, bidet, and toilet. The second bedroom has a double bed (1.40m), en-suite bathroom with rain shower, sink, and toilet.
The third and fourth bedrooms both have a double bed of 1.60m and also both have an en-suite bathroom with shower, double sink and toilet. Down the stairs, you arrive in the basement. In this room, there is a washing machine and dryer as well as a large refrigerator with freezer compartment. There is also a kitchenette with crockery for outdoor dining on the spacious terrace. Here you will find another 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed (1.60m) and a shared bathroom with shower, sink, bidet, and toilet. There are various seating areas on the terraces. From the terraces, you overlook the completely fenced garden of 1 hectare with a mini-waterfall, stream, and play area. Next to the outdoor pool (8x5m, available from May to October, heated by a heat pump), there is also an outdoor shower.

• Distance from Utrecht approximately 246 km
• About 5 minutes drive from the village of Stoumont with a bakery, butcher, etc. Large supermarket in Remouchamps and Spa, both about 10 km away.
• Spa is about 10 minutes drive, where you can still taste the grandeur of the upscale spa resort of old. The thermal baths have been restored to their former glory. You will also find excellent restaurants and a casino here.
• Spa is also known for Formula 1 and the 24-hour race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. There is also a museum and a go-kart track.
• Royal Golf Club des Fagnes in Spa.
• The famous Spa water comes from the springs of Barisart.
• Stoumont is located at an altitude of 400m; with sufficient snow, you can ski and cross-country ski nearby. In Butgenbach and the surrounding area, there are 6 marked trails. The ski slope of Mont des Brunes is about 8 km away and has the largest descent in Belgium. The ski slope of Val de Wanne is approximately 9 km away. The ski and tows slope of Ferme Libert is about 17 km away. The ski slope of Baraque Fraiture is the highest slope in Belgium and is about 19 km away. 
• Stavelot with the abbey and St. Sebastian's Church.
• Coo with the famous waterfalls, Plopsa Coo, and Coo-Adventure with many outdoor activities. 
• Malmédy with a cozy village square and cathedral, bowling alleys, MovieMills cinema. 
• Remouchamps caves, a beautiful underground journey on foot and by boat. 
• Hiking, cycling, and mountain biking. At Coo Adventures and VTT Spa, you can rent mountain bikes.
• Kayaking, rafting, and canoeing; for an active holiday, you can go to the Ardennes. For kayakers, descending the Lesse (near Dinant – 90 km) is very popular. But you can also get on the water at other rivers: the Amblève near Coo, about 8 km (see Coo-Adventure), the Ourthe near La Roche en Ardenne about 50 km, Hotton about 43 km, Nisramont about 56 km, and Durbuy about 38 km. 
• In Aywaille, New Life Outdoor Sports offers various outdoor activities such as abseiling, kayaking, via ferrata, etc. 
• At V'Spa, you can rent an Italian scooter to make beautiful trips through the area.
•  About 12 km away is Lake Warfaaz (near Spa) for walking, fishing, or pedal boating. There is a playground for children. 
• Château de Franchimont in Theux, about 12 km.

Good to know

• The house is exclusively rented out to families. Groups of young people and partygoers are not allowed. 
• The house is terraced on hilly terrain. 
• Smoking is not allowed inside the house.
